INSTRUCTIONS

To operate this module, you will need to download the ‘Arduino IDE’.  You may also find the ‘HC-06 Datasheet’ and ‘HC-06 Tutorial Video’ links helpful.

Tip: Before you hook the HC-06 module up to your Arduino development board, upload the code you want to use.  This is because your Bluetooth module will be connected to both the RX and the TX pins of your Arduino and, whilst it is connected, you will not be able to upload new code via USB.

Either write your own Android code using Android Studio or download one of the many free Android Bluetooth apps at the Google Play Store; a very good example is: Arduino Bluetooth Controller (by Giumig Apps), which will allow you to perform 2-way communications and control your Arduino via an Android device.
